Summary:
Pranchiyettan Cast
Ever since this movie came out, whenever a friend asks me which Malayalam movie to watch or even mentions Indian movies, I recommend they should watch it.  Maybe it's because I live in the US and know/interact w/ a lot of Pranjiyettan types, I truly enjoyed this lighthearted and simple movie presented in a brilliant way.

The full movie is presented to the user as a conversation between Chirammal Enashu Francis (Mammootty) and his favorite saint, Saint Francis of Assisi.  As mentioned above it's a simple movie in some sense but truly entertained me for the full duration and felt great walking out of the theater.

I can almost gurantee that by the end of the movie you will be making a "6" with your left hand and a "9" with your right leg.  (Have to watch the movie to get that one!!!)

Noteworthy Performances:
Pranchiyettan Mammootty
Mammootty:
Growing up, I would say I was more of a Mohanlal Fan than a Mammootty Fan.  Over the past few years that has slowly been changing partly because of the versatility that Mammootty has been showing in various roles and partly because of the enormous amount of Garbage that Mohanlal seems to be putting out.

Mammootty once again shows his abilities by taking on the role of Pranchiyettan and knocking it out of the park.  It's hard to watch the movie and not love Pranchiyettan!!!

Ranjith:
Although Ranjith has been in the movie industry since the 80's (According to Wikipedia), I did not really take note of him until this movie.  The dude is brilliant in how he presented this story to the viewer.  I also got the opportunity to listen to a speech he made at an event in the US and he certainly speaks his mind (Right or Wrong).  While I don't agree w/ the way he presented a lot of the content of the speech and possibly he generalized things a bit too much, he can certainly make good movies!!!  I also loved his next movie after Pranchiyettan, "Indian Rupee" (Review to come later).
