Summary:
Unlike 99% of the movies that are made in India, this movie features a female as the Star (Vidya Balan). The movie starts off when a very pregnant Vidya Bagchi arrives in Kolkata looking for her missing husband. The director does a great job painting the story and Vidya Balan delivers it in a very believable manor. The movie showcases, what I consider to be, a very real representation of India when it comes to the setting (the streets and sounds as well as dealing w/ Government/Police officials etc.)
I don't want to spoil the movie for you but, keep on watching and the ending will not disappoint.
Noteworthy Performances:
Vidya Balan, a Malayali, is possibly one of the most talented actresses in Indian Cinema at this time. This is the second movie of her's I saw in the past couple of months (Other one is "The Dirty Picture" - Also a good movie) where the movie is based around her character. While both are very different, she delivers her characters to perfection.
As mentioned above, she plays the role of a pregnant lady and she really makes you believe that she is pregnant. She has certainly done her research for the role!!!
Trailer:
Music (Stuff that's on my playlist):
I cant remember a single song in the movie. If there are any, then they are not very memorable.
