Malayalam Movie Review - Ennu Ninte Moideen (Rating 4.0/5 Star)

Ennu Ninte Moideen Poster

A very well done True Story!!!

Summary:

Ennu Ninte Moideen Prithviraj and ParvathyI recently read an article stating that Prithviraj has the most number of hits over the past five years.  He is certainly continuing that trend in a BIG way w/ Ennu Ninte Moideen.  The reason for all the hits is credited to him being picky in the roles/stories that he selects.  This, as the viewer, I appreciate very much as I equate this to him respecting the audience.  Him recognizing that our time and money is also valuable; ThankYou Prithviraj.
Ennu Ninte Moideen Prithviraj and Team

Ennum Ninte Moideen, is a mega hit and by now I doubt there are many Malayalies that has not heard about it.  It's based off of the true story of B.P. Moideen, played by Prithviraj and Kanchanamala, played by Parvathy (Also in Bangalore Days).  The story happens in the 60s and the creators of the movie has done a masterful job in recreating the period.

I am not going to go much into the details but it is one of the top grossing movies in Malayalam Ever and is worth you spending your time and money to watch.

Notes:
  • Lena plays an important role in the movie and does a wonderful job
Ennu Ninte Moideen Lena
Ennu Ninte Moideen is a MUST WATCH!!!

All in all, a good family entertainer that is worth your time.

Malayalam Movie Review - Amar Akbar Anthony (Rating 3.0/5 Star)

Great cast to play the leading roles!!!

Summary:

Amar Akbar Anthony marks the directorial debut of Nadir Shah, and he has done his part in making the audience laugh and in keeping the movie entertaining.
This movie brings together a great cast in Prithviraj as Amar, Jayasurya as Akbar and Indrajith as Anthony.  Three of the brightest stars in Malayalam today.  The movie also has Namitha Pramod, but not in an all that significant character.

Most of the movie is based on the interaction/chemistry between the three leads and is very entertaining.  There are hints on the real meat of the story throughout, but really unfolds only towards the very end.

The villain character played by Shafique Rahiman, whose character does not even have a single dialog, was excellent.
