Not what I expected from a Dileep Movie - in a Good Way!!!
Summary:
Jeethu Joseph is the current "Hit Maker" in Malayalam (and elsewhere in India) after the success of Drishyam. This is the second time Dileep and Jeethu are teaming up after a good comedy movie, "My Boss", in 2012. The movie is also the first production venture of Eros International into Malayalam.
Unlike most Malayalam movies, Life of Josutty, moves at a constant pace w/ very little up's and downs. Although that sounds boring, Jeethu and Dileep is able to keep the attention of the audience for the most part. Going into the movie, I had high expectations based on Drishyam but still expected a "Typical" Dileep movie. I was pleasantly surprised to see that this was not true. Dileep is well caste for the role.
The supporting cast in the First half is stellar. Rachana Narayanankutty as Jessy, Nobi as Geevarghese, Saju Navodaya, Suraj Venjarammoodu as Varkey and many others in small but important roles were excellent. First half in general was very entertaining.
The story drifts overseas to New Zealand in the second half. This is where I felt the movie could have been better. Some of the twists and turns taken in the movie fit more into the typical, predictable Malayalam Movie Mold. It also felt stretched out at times.
One theme that is constant throughout the movie is the visuals. Absolutely gorgeous!!! The locations are great and the way it is presented to the viewer via the camera flying around really brings out the beauty of each location.

Notes:
- I could have lived without the Angels!!!! (You will see)
- Nayanthara scene, just did not fit in at all.
All in all, a good family entertainer that is worth your time.
